When Captain America 3 arrives, Chris Evans may or may not pass his shield on to Sebastian Stan or Anthony Mackie, whose characters have both assumed the role of Cap in the comics. But hold on; screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely sorta assures fans that Falcon will not be the next Star Spangled Man by stating that they don’t have to stick with the original pages. Still no details on the plot, villain, etc. CA3 comes to theaters on May 6, 2016.

The success of Winter Soldier makes a follow-up certain, and the return of both directors, as well as the franchise’s writers, has fans excited for what comes next. Discussing those who didn’t make the cut, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely says it isn’t too hard to implement Batroc the Leaper, but someone like MODOK might prove a little more difficult. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, MODOK fought Captain America on numerous occasions over the decades. A mutated scientist who once worked for the organization Advanced Idea Mechanics, or AIM, MODOK became one of the group’s most potent weapons and its occasional leader. His name is an acronym for “Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing.” The likelihood of seeing Peter Dinklage play the villain remains slim, but as long as hope is alive, you never know.
